Thunder News Flash – April 20, 2024

Our next early dismissal day for our monthly staff meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 1st.  As always, the students should bring a snack and lunch to school that day, and they will be dismissed at 12:55pm.

****Please note students will be dismissed at 12:15 on Friday, April 26th.

EARLY BIRD PRIZE: Bring your pledge sheets and money in on MONDAY, APRIL 22 BY 3PM for an Early Bird Prize of 1 extra raffle ticket for the prize draw.  We will tally up how much we have raised so far and reveal the number at that afternoon’s Pep Rally!

The ZUMBATHON is this coming FRIDAY (APRIL 26)! It is always a fun and exciting day filled with school spirit.  Students are asked to wear their Thunderwear or Gym Strips and runners and a “Pop” of colour, by adding colourful socks, or hats, or hair accessories. Please dress appropriately for the weather; rain jackets or hats, sunglasses and sunscreen. Zumbathon goes rain or shine and is both indoors and outdoors.   We invite parents and families to come and join us for Zumba and a hotdog lunch!  More information about the day will be coming this week.

All students earn 1 raffle prize ticket for every $10 they raise.  There are over 30 different prizes to be won (and more to come!), including:

• Top Primary Student Prize: $100 Indigo Gift Card

• Top Intermediate Student Prize: $100 Indigo Gift Card

• Special Prize Draw for all those who raise $125+: $100 Boston Pizza Gift Card

• Many great class prizes for all classes who raise at least $3000 as a whole.
