  • Happy Canada Day!

I hope that everyone has an opportunity to celebrate Canada Day.  On this special day, let us take a moment to express our gratitude for the freedoms, opportunities, and privileges we enjoy as Canadians. May we never take for granted the blessings of peace, education, and the ability to practice our faith openly.

I encourage each and every one of you to embrace the spirit of Canada Day by engaging in acts of kindness, unity, and service within our local community. Together, let us build a brighter future, rooted in the values of love, respect, and empathy.

  • French 2024-25

As some of you may have heard, Mr. Sorley will be returning to the classroom part time at SJA. He will be team teaching with Grade 3 with Ms. Papaianni, two days per week. As a result, he will be teaching ADST from K- Gr. 4, and French from Gr. 5-7 (as per Ministry guidelines). For next year, we will not have formalized French classes from K-Gr. 4, though classroom teachers are free to include some French instruction into these classes as they see fit.

  • Farewell

    Dear Parents,

As I prepare to leave St. James and St. Ann’s Catholic School after two wonderful years, I want to express my deepest gratitude. Working alongside such dedicated parents, students, and staff has been an honour. Although bittersweet, my heart is filled with joy and gratitude for the chance to be part of this incredible community. Together, we have achieved so much and fostered a special sense of togetherness that makes St. James unique. The joy and warmth I’ve experienced here will stay with me always. I will miss each and every one of you, and you will all remain in my prayers. Thank you for your support and for making my time here so joyful and fulfilling.

I would like to extend a special thank you to all of the priests: Father Ashley, Father Donnelly, and Father Mc Carthy, for their spiritual leadership. I am especially grateful to Father Richard Zanotti, our Archbishop’s Representative, for his continued support of our school. I also want to extend my gratitude to the St. James REC for their tireless efforts in ensuring our school consistently reached its highest potential.

I will never forget the warmth and love that you as parents and families extended to me. St. James is such a special place, and I want you to know that you are assured of my continued prayers for all of you. I look forward to opportunities where our paths will cross again.

    With warmest regards,

    Julie Lee
