Service/Outreach

  • The gospel values teach us the importance of serving others, and therefore we are called to participate in service and outreach activities. This is done best when we work together as a community for the good of others. At St. James & St. Ann’s School we serve others in our local community through the Seniors’ Luncheon that accompanies a special performance of our Christmas Musical, the Grandparents’ Tea and the Volunteer Tea.

Some of our outreach projects include collecting food for the Poor Clares and the St. Vincent de Paul food bank, attending the Hospital Outreach monthly Masses, park and stream clean ups, collecting clothes for the migrant farm workers, and having special fundraising events throughout the year to raise money for Chalice. We have raised over $5,000 for Chalice, which has been used to purchase items such as farm animals, water and sanitation systems, and educational supplies for families in third world countries. As we continue to learn about Jesus, our love for him compels us to serve others.
