Back to School BBQ and Meet the Teacher Night - Thank You!
Thank You for a Wonderful Start to the School Year!Thank you to all of our families who joined us for our Back to School BBQ and Meet the Teacher Night! It was a true blessing to welcome both new and returning faces to our school for an evening filled with delicious food, laughter, and fellowship. Even with the rain, everyone enjoyed a lovely dinner, students were able to play outside and there was an opportunity for teachers and parents to meet together.
A very special thank you goes to our staff, REC members, and volunteers who worked tirelessly with setup, cooking, serving food, childminding, and cleanup!
It was wonderful to see families connecting, students sharing their excitement, and our school community coming together. Events like this truly help strengthen the faith filled partnership between home and school, and we are deeply grateful for your support in making the night such a success.

Loving God,
We thank You for the gift of our vibrant school family and for the wonderful turnout at our Back to School gathering. Bless our parents, teachers, and students as we walk together in faith, wisdom, and charity this year. May our school always be a sanctuary where Your peace dwells, Your love is shared, and every family feels welcomed. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Terry Fox Run - We finished It!
Carrying Terry’s Legacy Forward: Terry Fox Run Success!
Congratulations to all of our students, staff, and families who participated in our annual Terry Fox Run! Together, our school community demonstrated incredible perseverance, enthusiasm, and Christ-like compassion as we walked and ran to support cancer research. Through your generous donations and participation, we are proud to contribute to Terry’s dream of a world without cancer. Terry Fox showed us that faith, determination, and small acts of courage can inspire an entire nation, and seeing our students carry that torch forward was truly heartening. A special thank you to Mrs. Baker for organizing the event, as well as to our parents for your unwavering generosity and support—together, we can make a difference!
Loving God, We thank You for the inspiring example of Terry Fox, who showed us the power of courage, hope, and selfless service. We lift up to You all individuals and families in our community affected by cancer; grant them Your strength, comfort, and peace. Bless the scientists, doctors, and researchers working tirelessly to find a cure, and guide their hands with Your wisdom. Help our students to always walk with compassion, using their gifts to serve others and reflect Your love in the world. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Orange Shirt Day
Orange Shirt Day, recognized on September 30, is a day for Canadians to honour Indigenous children who were sent to residential schools and to remember that Every Child Matters. By wearing orange, we show our commitment to reconciliation, respect, and building a future of hope and understanding. As a Catholic school community, we join together in prayer and action to walk in solidarity with our Indigenous brothers and sisters. This year we will honour Orange Shirt Day on Tuesday, September 29th. The Grade 6 class will lead a special assembly at 9:00am. Parents are most welcome to attend!
This will also be a full dress down day and we encourage students to wear anything they have that is orange. This could be an orange shirt, orange pants, orange shoes, etc. It could also simply be an accessory that is orange (a bracelet, a sticker, a necklace, a hair band, etc). Please note that as always, the students must be dressed appropriately with no spaghetti straps, no short shorts, no ripped jeans and no clothing with inappropriate logos or sayings. Students not wearing orange should be in school uniform, and will be given a sticker reflecting Orange Shirt Day.There is no school on Wednesday, September 30th, but you are asked to spend time at home focusing on Truth and Reconciliation. Information and resources are available from the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation –https://nctr.ca/education/
