  • Welcome Back BBQ

    Dear St. James Families,

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for making our Back to School BBQ a tremendous success! Your enthusiasm and participation made this event truly special and memorable.

Seeing our school community come together, both new and familiar faces, was a heartwarming experience. It’s through events like these that we strengthen the bonds between families, REC Members, staff, and students. The positive energy and sense of togetherness were truly inspiring.

I also want to extend my appreciation to the dedicated volunteers, staff, and all those who contributed to making this event possible. Your hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed.  As we embark on this new school year, let’s carry forward the spirit of unity and collaboration that we shared at the BBQ. Together, we can continue to create a nurturing and supportive environment for our children to thrive.  We are working hard to provide many more opportunities like this over the coming year.

Thank you once again for your outstanding support and for being an integral part of our school community. What a wonderful example of living out our theme, “Living our Faith”.  Here’s to a fantastic school year ahead!

    Love,

    Your Proud Principal,  Julie Lee

  • Endow's The Science of Love Study

Have you ever wanted to learn more about St. Thérèse of Lisieux? She once said, “Remember that nothing is small in the eyes of God.” For more than a century, many have been inspired and encouraged by her writings, and the witness of her simple but extraordinary life. All women are invited to join us as we learn more about her “Little Way” through Endow’s newest study. Endow (endowgroups.org) is a study program for women. With a balance of rich content and thought-provoking discussion questions, Endow is a great option for any women looking to cultivate friendships in the community and grow in their faith.

We will gather bi-weekly for 8 Wednesday sessions, starting on September 27th and ending on January 31st, from 12:30-2:30 p.m. in the St. James Church meeting room. Cost is $20 USD for a digital copy or $40 USD for a hard copy. For more information and to register, contact Eileen Gaudet at eileenmgaudet@gmail.com.

  • Care Plans Overdue

If your child has any allergies or medical concerns, and these were noted on your Registration form, you would have received a Care Plan to complete, back in June.  In the case of any anaphylaxis, there would have been a portion of your form that required your doctor to complete and sign.  Please note that these forms should be returned to the school as soon as possible.  The health and safety of your child is our primary concern.

  • Work Bee - Today!

The September Work Bee will take place at the school today, September 9th.  You may want to bring gloves for outside work. It would also be greatly appreciated if you could bring any small gardening tools, particularly a rake.  Thank you once again for all of your hard work.  All Work Bee dates have been uploaded to the School Calendar.

  • Early Dismissal Day - Wednesday, September 13th

We will have our first early dismissal day this year for our monthly staff meeting next week, on Wednesday, September 13th.  Please send your child to school with a snack and lunch, and they will be dismissed at 12:55pm.

  • Comfort Kits and Id. Tags Due - September 15th

Last week your children brought home two important items to help us with our emergency planning.  The first was a Ziploc bag with a list of the items required to create a personalized “comfort kit” for your child, and the second was their Id. tag to either complete or update.  Please note that these two items are due back to the school no later than Friday, September 15th.  The comfort kits will then be taken out to our shipping container where we store our emergency supplies, and the Id. tags will be placed in the classroom emergency backpack.  Thank you for helping us ensure that we are prepared in the event of an emergency.

  • Thunderwear - Order Forms Due Friday, September 22

Just a reminder that Thunderwear can be worn every Thursday for Thunderwear Thursdays!  The Thunderwear order form link was emailed on September 6th.   A fundraising direct debit form was completed with your registration package and is on file with the school bookkeeper.  This is used for payment.
