The Tower of Heaven Food Drive
We will be collecting non-perishable food items to support local families in need!
As we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving, our school community is invited to come together in the spirit of gratitude and generosity. The Grade 7 Leadership Team has decided to hold a food drive for St. Joseph’s Food Bank in Mission. From October 5th-14th, your child is encouraged to bring a food item for the Food Drive. They can drop the items off in their class bin, located in the front hall by the library. Please do not bring anything perishable or that can be ripped open easily. Any of these items below work well:
- Canned meat or fish
- Coffee/tea

- Kids Snacks – Granola bars, dried/canned fruit
- Soup/stew
- Milk alternatives such as canned, powdered or almond milk
- Canned beans or vegetables
- Meals in a box such as pasta, rice or soup kits
- Cereals
- Baby items/diapers
- Personal hygiene supplies
- Cleaning supplies
By sharing non-perishable items from our own tables, we help nourish local families in need, teach our students the value of Christian stewardship, and reflect God’s abundant grace throughout our community. Please see the attached flyer for details! Tower to Heaven Food Drive
Thank you for your continued faith, warmth, and generosity as we work together to bring hope and comfort to our neighbors this Thanksgiving.

New Fundraiser - Sparkplug Coffee
We have partnered up with Sparkplug Coffee, a Canadian company founded by Kara, a local Vancouverite who, after her worldwide journey, settled in Toronto. She has made it her mission to make great coffee. With this fundraiser the school receives 20% from each order. And what does that mean? With each order we get closer to funding the tech upgrades for the school! Please follow the link and have your orders in by Oct 9th. Please share this information with family and friends! If you are sharing the link with your friends, family members and coworkers, please let them know they have to put your child’s name, grade and teacher into the order portion. This will help us to ensure you get all the items you ordered easily. Orders will arrive at the school 4 to 7 business days.Let’s raise some money for the Technology Upgrades for the school! While helping you to wake up too!

Workbee
The next Work Bee will take place at the school on Saturday, October 19, 2025. It is delayed 1 week because of the Thanksgiving weekend. This is a great way to earn five hours towards your Parent Participation commitment. Hopefully the weather will be good, so please bring gloves for both indoor and outdoor work, as well as any small cordless garden tools that you have. We are very grateful for all of your hard work around the school!
