Halloween / Candy for Night Shift
Thank You for a Spooktacular Halloween!A big thank you from all of our staff for helping make Halloween at school such an exciting and memorable day! The teachers dressed up as Care Bears to show just how much we care about each and every one of our students! The children were thrilled to participate in the Halloween parade and enjoyed all the fun classroom activities.

As we continue to share the spirit of giving, we invite families to send any extra Halloween candy to school for donation to NightShift Ministries, who support those in need within our community. We will be collecting this extra candy at the school from November 3rd – 7th in each classroom. Thank you for your generosity!

All Saints Day
All Saints Day Dress-Up Reminder
On Wednesday, November 5th, we invite all students to come to school dressed as their favourite saint as we celebrate All Saints Day together! This will be in conjunction with our Mass and gives us a great opportunity to pray for all souls and saints gone before us. This special tradition helps us learn about the inspiring lives of the saints who show us how to follow Jesus with courage, kindness, and faith. We look forward to seeing the wonderful costumes and celebrating our Catholic faith as a school community! There will be a prize for the best saint costume! We look forward to seeing what Saint you choose!

Feeding the Future
For the past few years, St. James has been able to take advantage of the government assistance program called Feeding the Future. This program provides us funding that allows us to help provide food to keep at the school for those students who have forgotten lunch or support for those families that are facing food insecurity. Please let us know if your family may be finding that finances are a little tight and it is hard to keep the cupboards full. There are no judgements and your privacy will be kept confidential. Please email principal@stjameselementary.ca if you need some support.
