  • No School - November 10, 13, & 24

    There will be no school on Friday, November 10th  – this is an in lieu day.  There will also be no school on Monday, November 13th for the Remembrance Day holiday.  Please note that Thursday, November 9th we will be having our Parent/Teacher Interviews, and there will be no school for the students.  The sign up link for these interviews was sent home by email.  Here is the link https://schoolinterviews.ca/code/7cmhd.   Friday, November 24th is a Professional Day for the staff.

  • Work Bee - November 4th

    The next Work Bee will take place at the school today, November 4th from 9:00am – 2:00pm.  For those parents who are attending this Work Bee, please bring a rake if possible, a cordless blower if you have one, gloves for indoor and outdoor work.  Your assistance at the school is most appreciated.

  • Thunder Community Events

    We are working hard to create opportunities to build community this year.  A big thank you to everyone who came out to our Music Bingo Night this week.  A great time was had by all!  We ended our week with Movie Night – a wonderful event for all of our families!  Here are some more upcoming events that we are looking forward to hosting.  Please save the dates:

    1 – Holly Jolly Trivia Night!  The staff at St. James & St. Ann’s School are happy to host our first “Holly Jolly Trivia Night”!  This will be an adult night out.  We will have several games of trivia, pizza, snacks and games.  Your $25 ticket covers all of this fun! Beer and wine be available for purchase. There will also be a Holly Jolly Sweater contest!  Please join us on Saturday, December 2nd for what will be a fun parent night out!  More details to come next week, but be sure to save the date for now.

    2 – Family Skate on Friday, December 22nd.  This will take place on the last day of school, which is an early dismissal day.  Students will be dismissed at noon and our Thunder Community Skate will take place from 1-2:30 at the MRC.  The skate will be free! We are trying to create low-cost events for our families to bond and to create community.  Skates and helmets will be available for rental, or you can bring your own.  More details to come, but for now save the afternoon of December 22nd for a fun family skate!

  • New Sibling Applications for 2024-25

    It’s that time again!  We are starting to prepare for the 2024-25 school year.  If you have a child who is a sibling that will be going into Kindergarten or another Grade, please email Mrs. Dlugan, at office@stjameselementary.ca  for an application and she will ensure that it is sent home with one of your children.  Thank you in advance for your assistance with this.

  • CALLING ALL YOUTH:

    We would like to invite all youth 11 to 17 years of age to join us on Friday nights, starting November 17th from 6:30 pm – 8 pm. Come join us for sports, snacks, and fun. Fr. Jaime will also be leading us in a time of prayer. Remember, you don’t have to be amazing at sports to come and have fun. We look forward to seeing you at St. Ann’s gym!

  • Student Desks

    We have replaced the student desks in Gr. 6 and 7.  If you would like one of the old desks, please come by the school next week and grab a desk or two from the stage in the gym.
