  • Spring Break

The school is now closed for Spring Break, and will hopefully reopen on Monday, March 30th.  While the world is dealing with the Coronavirus, and things all around us seem so out of control, please remember that we can always find peace when we turn to God.  Prayer will help to calm our fears and concerns, and be a source of comfort for our children.  Even if we are unable to attend Mass due to the latest restrictions about the size of public gatherings, or because we are not feeling well, our faith life can still be rich and rewarding.  Please click here to see the latest update from Archbishop Miller regarding the steps that the Archdiocese of Vancouver will be taking to comply with the requirements of BC’s Public Health Officer.

  • Update on the Coronavirus

Please click here to read the latest letter from the Ministry of Education regarding the Coronavirus.  Please also continue to check your email and the school’s website regularly over Spring Break, as the situation in the province and across the country is changing rapidly.

  • Parent Prayer Group

Come and pray the rosary with us on Fridays at 8:30am in the school Library.  It only takes 20 minutes, but the benefits last much longer.  Help us pray for our schools, children, teachers, school staff and school families.  Everyone is welcome and there are toys for your little ones to enjoy while we pray.  Please note that the next meeting of the Parent Prayer Group will take place on Friday, April 3rd.

  • Community Coffee

The next Community Coffee will take place in the school gym on Monday, March 30th at 8:30am.  Please mark your calendar, and we hope to see you there.

  • Teaching Opportunities for 2020-2021

As you are aware, Mrs. Di Palma will soon be going on maternity leave, so there is a full-time maternity leave position available in Kindergarten beginning in May and extending for the complete 2020-2021 school year.  We have also posted a 60% P.E. position, as all of Mrs. Wakely’s teaching time will be in the classroom next year.  If you are interested in working is this dynamic, faith-based community, or if you know someone who would be a great fit for our school, please see the full job postings on the CISVA website by clicking here and then scrolling down the list to find our school.

  • Walkathon Prizes - request for donations

Walkathon 2020 is on Friday, May 8!  This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, with a goal of raising $25,000!  This year we are returning to a Prize Raffle for the Walkathon Prizes.  Students will earn 1 raffle ticket for every $10 that they personally raise in pledges.  The students use these raffle tickets to put into the prize raffle of their choice.

The PFA and the Grade 7 class are asking many businesses to donate prizes.  We are also asking the school families and businesses if they would consider donating a new item or cash to purchase a prize, so that we have a variety of prizes for all ages and interests.  One family has already donated a 4 pack of tickets to a very exciting tour coming to Vancouver this July!  If you are interested in donating a prize, please contact Nicola Humphreys by clicking here or call 778-227-8711.  Thank you for your consideration!

More information about Walkathon 2020, including pledge sheets, will be coming out the first week back in school after Spring Break.
