  • Final June Events

June continues to be a very busy month with many activities and events planned.  Here is some information to help you plan for the remainder of the school year:

Planning Day – Monday, June 16th:

There will be no school for the students on Monday, June 16th, as the staff gathers to plan for the upcoming school year.

    Grade 7 Farewell – Wednesday, June 18th:

We will be celebrating our Grade 7 students with a special “farewell event” on Wednesday, June 18th, from 5:45pm – 8:30pm.  This evening is for the Grade 7 students and their families, and will begin with Mass at St. James Church, followed by a celebration in the gym.

Rag & Bag Day – Wednesday, June 25th:

Each student is asked to come to school on June 25th with a rag and a sturdy bag.  They will use the rag to wash down their desk and chair, and help to clean up their classroom.  The bag will be used to pack up and bring home all of their belongings, as the school year comes to a close the next day.

Last Day of School – Thursday, June 26th:

Thursday, June 26th is the last day of school.  We will attend Mass as a school, and we invite parents to join us for this special celebration where we send off our Grade 7 students, ask our Grade 6 students to take over the leadership role at the school, and say goodbye to a number of staff members and families who are leaving the school.  After Mass we will go back to the school to watch our yearend slide show, and then the students return to their classrooms to collect their final Progress Reports.  It is always a bittersweet day at school, but we look forward to the many adventures that are to come!  Dismissal will be at 11:30.

  • Mission in the North and Freezie Sales

Bishop Hector (Bishop of Whitehorse Diocese) has asked for a group of parishioners to continue our Mission work to some of the Parishes in Northern B.C.

We will be supporting this initiative with continued freezie sales for the last two weeks of school.  We will have freezie sales after school on Wednesday, June 18, Monday, June 23, and finally Wednesday, June 25 @ 2:30.   The money raised will go directly to supporting the Missions to the Northern church. Freezies will be $1.00.  Thank you in advance for your help.

  • Spirt Days

Spirit Days are a fun way to countdown to the end of the year!  The Grade 7 Leadership team has planned 3 Spirit days for the last week of school.  Students are encouraged to create special memories of the last week of school by wearing theme related clothes instead of the school uniform.  The three Spirit Days include:

    • My Choice  – Monday June 23
    • Twin Day – Tuesday June 24
    • Western Day – Wednesday June 25
  • Uniform Consignment

Consignment Sales – We have one final consignment sale before the school year ends!

The final date / time for the year will be:
    1.  20 June 2025 from 1-3 PM

    Consignment Donations:
Do you have school uniform pieces that your children have outgrown, and you don’t know what to do with them?  Please consider donating them to the school to go into our uniform cupboard.  As you do your spring cleaning, we will happily take uniform pieces that are clean and in good condition.  You can simply drop them off at the school office and we will take care of the rest!
