  • Happy New Year

Wishing you all peace, joy, health and happiness in the year ahead.  Here is a beautiful prayer to think about as we begin 2020, called ‘The Work of Christmas Begins’:

When the carols have been stilled, when the star-topped tree is taken down, when family and friends are gone home, when we are back to our schedules, the work of Christmas begins:

    To welcome the refugee,

    To heal a broken planet,

    To feed the hungry,

To build bridges of trust, not walls of fear,

    To share our gifts,

To seek justice and peace for all people,

To bring Christ’s light to the world.

    – by Michael Dougherty, a variation on Howard Thurman’s ‘When the Song of the Angels is Stilled’

  • School Mass and Community Coffee

Please join us for our first school Mass of the new calendar year on Monday, January 6th at 9:00am at St. James Church.  The Mass will be led by the school staff and our celebrant will be Fr. Rosemond.  Following the Mass, all parents, grandparents and parishioners are invited back to the school gym for Community Coffee at 10:00am.  What a wonderful way to begin 2020 together – with Mass and coffee!

  • Early Dismissal Day - January 8th

Please note that we will have our next Early Dismissal Day on Wednesday, January 8th for our staff meeting.  The students will be dismissed at 12:55pm.  Students should bring a snack and lunch with them to school that day.  The Thunder Club is available for those parents who are unable to pick up their children at 12:55pm, and if your children are picked up by 2:30pm the charge will be the same as the morning drop in rate.

  • Hot Lunch Forms

The new Hot Lunch forms will go home on Monday, January 6th and are due back at the school by 2:30pm on Friday, January 10th.  The forms must be completely filled out with the payment attached.  Please note that late forms will not be accepted.  Please also note that this week’s Hot Lunch from Quiznos was included on last month’s form, so if you ordered Quiznos on the previous form, your child will have Hot Lunch on January 7th.
