  • From Holy Week to Easter Celebrations

The Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter) is the heart of the Christian faith, calling us to walk with Jesus from the Last Supper to the Resurrection. It is a journey of service, sacrifice, and ultimate joy. We are reminded that Jesus loves us deeply, that his light conquers darkness, and that we are never abandoned in our struggles.

    A Time to Walk Together

These three sacred days invite our school community to enter into a powerful story of love.

    • Holy Thursday: Jesus serves us by washing feet and stays with us in the Eucharist, teaching us that true leadership is serving others.
    • Good Friday: We reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. It is a quiet, somber day that reminds us how much we are loved.
    • Easter Vigil & Sunday: The darkness is broken by the light of the Resurrection! We celebrate that good triumphs over evil and life wins over death.

As we celebrate, may we remember that every day is a chance to live in that joy and light.

Wishing our school families a Blessed Easter season!

  • Holy Thursday School Retreat

The Grade 6 & 7 classes led the students in a very special school-wide retreat day on Holy Thursday.  Activities were planned to help our students remember the Passion, Death and Resurection of our Lord.

The day began with the Grade 7’s leading the students in 4 retreat stations emphasizing the passion of Jesus.  The Grade 6 class ended the day with a beautiful and heartfelt enactment of the Stations of the Cross.  Both staff and students worked very hard to prepare all the materials and actvities.  It was a most Blessed day!

One station – the Resurection Garden – Students planted a bulb that will become a Stargazer Lily.  Please replant this bulb into a larger container or into your garden after a week.

We would like to thank the VanNoort Bulb Company for the Donation of these bulbs!  Your generosity is much appreciated!

  • Archbishop's Visit

We are truly honoured and blessed to welcome Archbishop Smith to our school on Thursday, April 9th.  The Most Reverend Richard W. Smith is the 12th Archbishop of Vancouver. He was formally installed on May 23, 2025, the 38th anniversary of his priestly ordination.

His visit is a special moment for our community, offering us an opportunity to come together in faith, celebration, and shared pride. We will be having a brief assembly from 10:00-10:30 for the Archbishop. During the  assembly, we look forward to showcasing the many talents of our students, including performances by our mass choir, junior choir, and dance squad. This occasion is not only a reflection of our students’ gifts, but also of the strong spirit and values that unite our school. We are grateful for this meaningful visit and the chance to celebrate it as a community.  We invite all parents to attend!

Due to this special occasion, we ask that students dress in their FULL and PROPER uniform. We will be moving Thunderwear to Friday that week.

  • Community Coffee

We are excited to invite parents to the return of our Community Coffee on Thursday, April 9th—now reimagined as “Café au Play”! This refreshed gathering offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with other members of our school community while enjoying coffee, tea, and light refreshments. Feel free to bring your little ones along, as the gym will be open for them to play while you relax and socialize. “Café au Play” will run from 8:30–9:30 a.m., and if your schedule allows, we warmly encourage you to stay for a short assembly honouring the Archbishop at 10:00 a.m. We look forward to seeing you there!
