Welcome to Music

I am so excited to be teaching your children music this fall.

This year we will be exploring the wonderful world of instruments. Each student will have the opportunity to explore and play both pitched and non pitched instruments. 

In connection with this years theme – CARE FOR OUR COMMON HOME each student will be making his/her own instrument out of recycled material and using it in music class to reinforce, practise and learn the elements of music – form, notation, rhythm, beat, dynamics, tempo and timbre.

All students will participate and perform in our school Christmas musical.

In connection to our school theme we will also be exploring music around the world. We will be listening, singing and creating music from various cultures.
