The 3 Be’s

  • At St. James & St. Ann’s School we have a school-wide belief system called The 3 Be’s. We believe that if students are following The 3 Be’s then appropriate behaviour expectations, as outlined by school personnel during periodic school-wide walk throughs, will be witnessed across the school.

  • The 3 Be’s are:

  • Be Christ-like:

    • Actively participate in classroom prayer and all activities related to Religious instruction in the classroom
    • Be kind to others
    • Actively participate, be reverent and prayerful in school Masses, paraliturgies and assemblies
    • Be generous with your time and talents
    • Step up and help fellow students when needed
  • Be Responsible:

    • Take care of your belongings and those of others
    • Actively participate in all learning activities in the classroom and those provided by specialist teachers
    • Do your best in all activities at school
    • Meet deadlines that are set for you, including completing your homework, studying for tests, etc.
    • Look after school property
    • Make good choices for yourself and others – be safe
    • Take proper care of yourself (hygiene) and your school uniform
  • Be Respectful:

    • Act kindly towards students, staff and other adults on and off school property
    • Use appropriate language at all times
    • Think about the feelings of others before you act
    • Use active listening with adults and students
